Menu redesign: from a classic to a characterful appearance

The Pizza Bar one of the owners, Kata, reached out to me with the goal of refreshing their existing menu. The selection was strong and the flavors were well-established, but the visual presentation no longer reflected the vibrant, edgy atmosphere truly present in the restaurant. The task was a redesign that would be fresher, more characterful, and visually exciting, while remaining easy to navigate.

The original menu—black text on a white background—was replaced by a black-and-beige color palette. This immediately shifted the overall impression toward a bolder, more premium direction. Graphic elements depicting pizza ingredients appear in the footer and across the spreads, popping up playfully without ever distracting from the content.

The cover features a photo of the restaurant's own pizza, but presented in a much more striking, appetizing way. It was important to me that the menu does not just provide information but creates an atmosphere from the first flip of the page, reinforcing the experience that Pizza Bar offers its guests.

The final result is a modern, clean, yet firmly characterful menu that has visually caught up to the restaurant’s offerings and style.
